Lang Road
Briefed to capture the spirit of India and house treasures from faraway lands, our studio has transformed this federation home into an exuberant space that celebrates inventive colour and fabric combinations, with clever antique finds and smart artworks.
The renovation honours the home's classic federation architecture while infusing it with global influences.
Our colour strategy draws inspiration from the vibrancy of Indian markets, introducing rich saffrons, deep indigos, and jewel-toned emeralds that complement the home's original timber detailing. Custom joinery was designed to showcase our client's collection of artefacts acquired through decades of travel.
The result is a deeply personal residence where heritage Australian architecture provides a surprisingly harmonious backdrop for international treasures—a home that tells the story of its owners' adventures while remaining quintessentially Sydney in its bones.
