Lavender Bay Home

Briefed to reimagine a cherished family apartment, this Lavender Bay weekender was transformed into a serene harbour side retreat, designed for a family of four to enjoy for generations.

With its rich personal history, the renovation sought to honour the past while introducing a refined sense of calm and comfort. A sculptural artwork by Max Patte offers a playful nod to the ever-present neighbour, Luna Park, anchoring the interiors in their vibrant surrounds.

Curved cove ceilings and integrated LED lighting reference nautical detailing, echoing the clients’ deep connection to the water. A soft, tonal palette of oaky timbers, warm whites and layered textures sets a gentle rhythm throughout, while herringbone flooring offers a subtle nod to the home’s original character.

Elegant yet grounded, this harbour side apartment is a considered expression of place and memory, designed to nurture rest, joy and family connection.
